Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Network Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this remote role, you will play a critical role in securing our client networks by leveraging your expertise in the Fortinet security stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive network security solutions using Fortinet products, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE/ZTNA, FortiAP access points, and FortiSwitch switches.
Configure and maintain network security policies to ensure optimal protection against cyber threats. - Monitor network activity for suspicious behavior and proactively identify and address security incidents.
- Perform ongoing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Fortinet security technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of security solutions.
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training initiatives to enhance team understanding of Fortinet technologies.
- Document security configurations, procedures, and processes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in network security administration.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE/ZTNA, FortiAP, and FortiSwitch.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure access solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- A passion for cybersecurity and a desire to stay current on emerging threats and technologies.
- Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE 4 or higher) are a plus.
